Waialea Beach | Beach 69

Located 49 miles north of Kona Bayview Inn just past Waikoloa, Waialea Beach (Beach 69) is a great location for spending the day. There is plenty of shade and the entry into the water is mostly sand. It is sometimes winding yet this area is protected and the waters usually stay calm. There is no lifeguard on duty and no food vendors so you will want to pack your lunch and beverages. Snorkeling is good here with a variety of fish but the quantity is much less than you will find at Two Step or Kealakekua Bay (Captain Cooks Monument).  Waialea Beach has the feeling of Old Hawaii in a location that is near enough but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.
