Kua Bay is a wonderful, powdery soft white sandy beach. It is also known as Manini’owali Beach. The water in the bay is light blue and crystal clear. There is a large parking lot which makes this white sandy beach top on the list for beaches. You can drive right to the beach (unlike Makalawena) which is very convenient, and there is often a food truck parked for drinks and pupus.
In the winter months, the bay is a small area with nice waves for boogie boards. In contrast, the beach area is significantly larger in the summer months. The South side of the beach is calmer and is nice for swimming and snorkeling.
